Calling all Business Support and Project Support Officers! Are you interested in an exciting job opportunity for a large public sector organisation Then this is the role for you!About the role:You will support the People function engine room which looks after the function through a range of core activities. These include providing secretarialsupport for our boards, enabling the function to ensure it manages its finances correctly.Key Information:Hourly Pay Rate: £19.28 PAYE or £24.59 UmbrellaHours: full time 35 hours per week, Hybrid working 2-3 days in the officeContract Length: 4 months (View to extend)Location: Southwark/London BridgeStart Date:ASAPClient: Greater London AuthorityKey Responsibilities:· Work alongside Senior Leaders to support Board commitments, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and coordinating actions.· Own and manage projects, including planning meetings, booking rooms, and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.· Assist a Deputy Assistant Director with diary management, responding to requests, and enhancing their capacity.· Contribute to People Function projects as part of an efficient and in-demand team.· Manage the Unit’s finances, including raising purchase orders, addressing supplier queries, and supporting timely invoice payments.· Collaborate with Digital colleagues to update the organisation’s webpages and intranet.· Maintain the HR Mailbox with other officers, addressing queries and engaging with other areas for resolution.· Coordinate Team Anchor Days, preparing agendas, meeting spaces, and communicating plans to Senior Leaders.· Support Employee Relations colleagues by taking detailed minutes during casework investigations.Skills, Experience and Knowledge- Experience of diary management- Experience with raising purchase order as well as dealing with payment invoices- Experience and comfortable with minute taking for meetings- Good organisational skills and communication skills- Proficient using MS Office applicationsDo not miss you opportunity to be a part of the Greater London Authority as a Business Support Officer!
