* Autism Spectrum Disorder* Key stage 1* Teaching Assistant SupportTeaching Assistant ASD* Do you have experience supporting children with special needs, especially autism* Would you like to be part of a team who makes a real difference to childrens livesIf this is you, Aura Education wants to speak to you!We are working with an outstanding mainstream primary school in the PR8 area of Sefton who are looking for a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting autism spectrum disorder.The school have an opening for a dedicated TA to join their team to support children on the ASD pathway, in and out of the classroom setting. The school is in a lovely environment, and the staff are very supportive and encourage a real community spirit withinthe school.The role is supporting in their EYFS & KS1 department for children who are on the pathway. The children need support within the classroom so its vital you can liaise with the class teacher and other staff members to ensure a network of support is in placefor all the pupils.Some support during breaks and lunch may be required to flexibility is key to this role.The start date for this role is 1st September 2023, and full-time availability is required. The working hours will be 8.30am-3.30pm, term time.To be successful in this role you will need:* Experience and/or knowledge of autism (ASD)* A calm but firm attitude and a positive approach* Experience supporting children from age 4-11 years.* Excellent communication skills* Full time availability* A DBS on the update service or be willing to get one in process.This is a long term, full-time role with the potential to go permanent after a qualifying period.
