They are looking to recruit a Payroll Officer on a permanent, full-time basis reporting into the Payroll Manager. Payroll experience is a essential to this role, bureau is highly desired but not a deal breaker. They are looking for a Payroll Officer to join their busy firm based in Southport on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated person who exceeds working towards tight deadlines. The Payroll Officer will have solid payroll background.   • Process 100+ client payroll start to finish
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Processing starters, leavers and calculating holiday pay.
  • Calculating the payroll
  • Running the payslips
  • Knowledge of PAYE/NI/other payroll deductions
  • Processing of P45s, P60s
  • RTI submissions
  • Pension administration with various pension providers
  • Auto-enrolment duties
  • Dealing with client payroll queries via phone/email.
  • Sage payroll - advantageous.
  • Use of sage payslips and document portal - advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the NHS pension scheme - advantageous.
  • ProfileThe successful Payroll Officer MUST have:
  • Solid payroll background
  • Payroll bureau desirable not essential
  • Sage 50 Payroll - advantageous
  • Knowledge of PAYE/NI
  • Ability to work independent as well as part of a team
  • Able to work remotely during pandemic
  • RTI knowledge
  • Computer skills including; Excel, Outlook
