Job Description

A specialist Freight Forwarding company in Southport are looking for a Customs Operator to join them on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong customs knowledge to join a company offering the opportunity toprogress into a managerial position, ultimately growing and recruiting for the department.The successful candidate will have excellent working knowledge of Destin8 and will be competent processing customs declarations from start to finish, either import or export. Reporting to the General Manager, the Customs Operator will be responsible for:

  • Processing customs declarations for both import and export
  • Fully Competent with using DESTIN8
  • Preparing various freight documentation and sending this over to the customer, also processing any amendments where necessary
  • Classifying goods according to tariff coding system
  • Dealing with general customer queries
Essential Requirements are:
  • Must be competent processing full customs declarations
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Destin8
  • Self motivated
  • Team player
