Job Description

About the role Are you a Healthcare Assistant looking for a new challenge, or even looking for another care opportunity in which to boost your income We can offer you flexible working and you will be given an opportunity to develop new skills and progress your career.Our client is a young adult male with complex care needs. Your role will be to provide care and support to our client at his family home and out in the community.There will be an opportunity for you to attend a meet & greet / work shadow shifts prior to going live This is a fantastic opportunity to further your career and work within a community setting providing a high standard of clinical, physical and emotionalsupport where you will receive great job satisfaction.Healthcare Assistants will have an opportunity to build on their current experience by working directly with clinical interventions including but not limited to:- Jeg fed via pump, BIPAP, Cough Assist, Tracheostomy. Suction etc.We can offer you:

  • Pay Rate £10.65 to £11.77 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
  • Flexible working hoursShift patterns are: 16.3021.30 MondayFriday (School terms)09.0014.00/10.0015.00 Saturday - Sunday2 waking nights per week 22.0007.00. Extended hours during holidays

  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
  • Sound knowledge of person-centred care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation care
  • Medication management
  • Catheter care
  • Manual handling
  • Spinal Injury
  • ABI
  • Epilepsy
  • Experience of working with clients with complex care needs
