Job Description

RE teacher required for FebruaryLocation: Merton, SW LondonStart date: 19th February 2024Pay scale: MPS for Inner London (Main Pay Scale equivalent)We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Religious Education specialist to teach Key Stages 3-5 at a high achieving Catholic Boys school in Merton, SW London. The school has an excellent reputation for providing outstanding vocational education andare looking for someone suitable to join an already very successful and supportive Humanities and Social Science department.Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons to KS3-KS5 students.
  • Preparing and assessing coursework, assignments, and projects.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress.
  • Providing constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of the Humanities curriculum.
  • Participating in school events and extracurricular activities
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Religion to KS3 to KS5 students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Vetting documents:
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Overseas police clearance (if applicable)
  • Right to work in the UK documentation
  • Qualification certificates
