Job Description

Excellent opportunity for experienced Management Accountant with growing luxury retail brand. Looking for keen and immediately available candidate to join the West End based team on a temporary to permanent basis.Client DetailsStep into the world of luxury with our premier womens retail brand. As a leading name in the industry, we pride ourselves ondelivering unparalleled quality and style to discerning women worldwide.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of this Management Accountant role will be:

  • Produce monthly management accounts ,P&L , BS and board packs with variance analysis, trends, and concerns
  • Providing timely and accurate financial information to budget holders and senior managers
  • Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations including pro-actively investigating reconciling item for review with to the Finance Director
  • Prepare month end schedules
  • Management and posting of journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Control and maintain an accurate fixed asset register
  • Reconcile monthly payroll journal
  • Preparation of all currency bank reconciliations and other account analysis
  • Production of audit files, key contact for the auditors and assist in the Year End audit
  • Preparation & submission of monthly statutory returns (VAT, ONS)
  • Daily review bank statement and ensure (in collaboration with Financial controller) that all payments & receipts are booked correctly in accounting system
ProfileThe successful Management Accountant will have:
  • Minimum three years experience working in a similar accountancy role (retail preferred)
  • Familiarity with accounting programs and software
  • Basic understanding of principles of finance, bookkeeping and accounting
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships at all levels.
  • Organised and disciplined approach to workload with attention to detail whilst multitasking
  • Positive can-do attitude
