And we do it all with some of the greatest talent this industryhas to offer.We are Collins Aerospace and we hope you join us as we REDEFINE AEROSPACE.We are currently seeking a Senior Back End Software Developer to join our team in Crawley, West Sussex, UK.ResponsibilitiesProduction, modification and maintenance of softwareand systems.All stages of the software development life-cycle - planning, implementation, testing, documenting, deployment and maintenance.Building application back end systems - APIs and Databases.Working closely with team members.Produce high quality, testablecode.Able to take responsibility for design, build and tracking of features using agile processes.Essential skillsExcellent Object-Oriented skills and knowledge of design patterns.Excellent knowledge of at least one of PHP, Python or NodeJS.Web services andAPIs.Unit and integration testingDevelopment on Linux/Unix based systems and good knowledge of Linux.Requirements analysis and technical documentation.Desirable skillsOpen to using agile processesSymfonyDocker and KubernetesExperience with continuous integrationand/or continuous delivery.Experience working with version control systems such as GIT.Familiar with cloud, such as AWSQualifications and experiencePreferably you will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as computer science or engineering.In the absence of a degree, significant and proven experience is required within a commercial development environment.What we can offer youWorklife BalanceFlexible WorkingFamily Friendly/Wellbeing policiesCompetitive Salary and Benefits PackageCareer ProgressionWeare located in Crawley, UK near Gatwick airport.
