Our world leading products includethe innovative MEMS based IMUs and the digital terrain reference navigation system, TERPROM.A position has arisen for a Project Engineer within Collins Aerospace Plymouth.This position is to support our existing business and enable future growth by providingsupport to new product development and current production programmes within the Plymouth Collins business.Key Responsibilities:Technical Team Lead throughout Project lifecycle - Product EntrepreneurCustomer Technical focal - project, technical, change managementEnsureprojects delivered projects to schedule, cost & qualityProviding inputs to planning, estimation and project management activitiesTechnical support for Customer focused presentations, telecons, meetings and exhibitionsSupport to customer integration and trialsactivitiesSupport to Bids and Proposals: resourcing and technical complianceObtaining Customer requirements, generation of cardinal points specifications, solution development and compliance trackingThe role may include travel to UK and foreign customer sitesto support technical meetings, trials and programme reviews.Highly Desirable Experience:Previous experience working in an Engineering role on sensor related product design and development to military, aerospace and commercial standardsExperience of the productintroduction lifecycle (concept definition to product launch)Leading multidiscipline teamsDesirable Experience includes at least some of the following:Project lead experienceInternational collaboration, multi-cultural team-workingCompetent in technical reportwriting and presentationsA team player and effective communicatorIntegration of systems, hardware or software with military or civil aircraftAble to interact at all technical levels with technical teams and/or project leadersApplicants must ideally hold aBachelors Degree in an Engineering or a similar discipline. In the absence of a degree, significant and demonstrable experience is required.
