Job Description

Overview:Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network and Security Infrastructure Manager to join their dynamic Digital and ICT (D&ICT) team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development, management, and security of the localand wide area data and voice communications networks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of our clients ICT and Digital strategy.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Network Planning and Implementation:
    • Plan, implement, and support local and wide area data and voice networks to ensure continued availability and performance.
    • Strategically plan and implement changes to the network and security infrastructure to maintain performance, resilience, and security, meeting the demands of emerging technologies such as Cloud.
    • Review requirements for new voice and data connectivity and deliver appropriate solutions.
  2. Security and Compliance:
    • Ensure the integrity and security of voice and data networks through the implementation of suitable controls and standards.
    • Ensure full compliance with GDPR, relevant legislation, compliance standards, and internal policies and procedures.
    • Prioritise data privacy and information security in all D&ICT solutions.
  3. Team Management and Development:
    • Support the Network Manager in workload management, resource allocation, and delivery within the team.
    • Act as an ambassador for the service, promoting the benefits of D&ICT solutions.
    • Manage allocated resources effectively, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
  4. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay abreast of new and emerging network technologies, considering their potential to enhance performance, resilience, and value for money.
    • Adhere to all D&ICT Policies and Procedures, identifying opportunities for review and improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in network planning, implementation, and support.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and compliance standards.
  • Experience managing and leading teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) are advantageous.
