  • An hourly rate of £11.66
  • Day shifts Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

THE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group is delighted to bring to you a client who are looking for a Bagging Plant Operator to work on a seasonal basis for our client based on the Port of Tyne Trading Estate in South Shields.You will be working for an international leader in the supply of energy products worldwide, helping handle the large cargo shipments coming into the port. The business has recently been introduced to the area which has lead to less road miles and a morepositive impact on the environment reducing their carbon footprint.The business has been trading for over 33 years and has expanded its sites to provide fuel to businesses far and wide and is fast growing company in its field.THE ROLEIncluding but not limited to:
  • Reporting into plant supervisor and conduct safe operation of bagging machine and associated equipment
  • Packing product into 20-25kg bags for palletisation and shipping to external clients
  • General housekeeping on site around all the machines and open areas, ensuring hygiene, environmental and health & safety standards are met
  • Assist in off-loading product into storage areas as required
  • Ensuring the bags of finished goods are of excellent quality
  • Liaise with drivers and persons on the site to ensure health & safety measures followed and any contraventions are reported

  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Experience of meeting deadlines and targets
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity to report health and safety contraventions
  • Physically fit
  • Able to work using own initiative without much guidance or direction
  • Excellent team player who can work efficiently in a wide variety of situations
  • You will be required to wear a close fitting face mask as part of your PPE which will require you to be clean shaven.
