Job Description

Senior Business Development Manager – Spa & Retail BamfordFull-time, PermanentOur Bamford family is growing, we are looking for a talented and passionate Senior Business Development Manager to join our Wholesale team in South Kensington, London.About youAs our Senior Business Development Manager you will represent Bamford to manage the existing Wholesale client /customer accounts as well as identifying and developing new business accounts and relationships within the UK and overseas.Main responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with all international distributors and hotel partnerships with regular updates and account visits including overseas.
  • Build strong, positive, and collaborative relationships with external counterparts in diverse departments (merchandising, marketing, planning, dot com) developing strategies to sustainably increase revenue
  • Identifying business growth opportunities across existing accounts and work on strategic activity to support these channels
  • Identify new business targets, channels and regions, with an active new business pipeline e.g., Duty Free
  • Regularly analyse sell out sales figures within all accounts
  • Oversee sales forecasting, consistently monitoring shipments, changes in product availability, proactively identifying OOS product risks or up ticks in demand and manage non-productive inventory
  • Track, analyze and recap the business performance and opportunities on bi-weekly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Input to business planning for sales targets, stock volume, and launch activities to guide Commercial strategy
  • Presenting updates of new launches, and new channel development opportunities.
  • Organising retail product and Spa training across all accounts where required
  • Working closely with our internal teams including Marketing, Social, Supply Chain, Legal, Design, Retail and Digital on all relevant partnerships
  • Collaborate with leadership on feedback, sales analysis, key business planning initiatives, and strategy to equip field sales team the business with the necessary reporting and tools to successfully drive success
  • Attend regular internal meetings providing sales specific insight to internal cross-functional partners
  • Support the development of a high performing team
Essential Skills & Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a results and process driven Senior Business Development Manager working with key accounts, ideally within luxury retail or beauty
  • Strong problem solver, negotiator, and ability to take ownership
  • Strategic thinker, with extensive ability to operationalize, leveraging excellence in time management, demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines in an unstructured environment
  • Proven strong commercial acumen, ability to understand all commercial levers and their impact (margins, commercial terms, etc.)
  • Proven track record of consistently hitting/exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels
  • Confident and comfortable with a high degree of autonomy and target-motivated
  • Knowledge of working with European Distributors
  • Have excellent presentation skills and be able to follow up effectively after new business opportunities
  • Proven track record of building effective client relationships and influencing clients positively.
  • Experience of scoping market opportunities in the UK and overseas
  • Ability and confidence to train brand and product knowledge in Spa & Retail so a therapist qualification would be desirable
  • Highly organised and able to work independently and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Very strong analytical skills: someone who can interpret facts and data quickly.
  • Must be willing to travel internationally when required
  • Good use of the English language, written and verbal
  • Proficient word processing skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Highly professional, and ability to act as an ambassador for Bamford
