PhD Software Developer - Green EnergyAre you interested in contributing to a sustainable future by assisting consumers in making the transition Do you possess a strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and algorithmsA fast-growing start-up in the GreenTech industry, which currently employs around 30 tech professionals (with a wider group of approximately 100 individuals), is seeking an experienced PhD Software Developer to join their team. The company specialises indeveloping sustainable energy consumer products and places a high value on technology that can make a positive impact, with no technological debt.As a member of the team, you will work with approximately 30 other tech professionals on various greenfield projects, creating frameworks and databases from scratch. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of Computer Science, as well as experience indomain modeling, requirement engineering, design, and initial bootstrapping.Tech stack: Java 18 (upgrading to Java 19), C, microservices, AWS, and Kubernetes (with some Vue.js and Node.js on the frontend)You, as the PhD Software Developer (Green Energy), will be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • A PhD background in Computer Science
  • Commercial software development experienceis desirable (in either Java or C)
  • Experience with Advanced Computer Science Algorithms, Graph Theory, Interval Graphs, Compiler Theory
  • An innovative mindset, want to be part of a disruptive scale-up and want to contribute to product ideas
  • Passion to work in a Tech For Good sector improving the sustainable lifestyle of consumer
