Job Description

We have a position for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to assist our IT manager.The IT team support our partners and their staff in using and maintaining a range of Accountancy and Tax packages, Microsoft 365 and Virtual Cabinet. The team are also responsible for our in-house servers and backup.In this role, you will be the first point of contact for IT Support requests, recording queries and ensuring response-handling is carried out promptly.You should ideally have at least 2 years of experience in a support role (preferably gained within a professional services firm - this is desirable but not essential).If you dont have this experience but do have a qualification in a relevant discipline and are keen to put this into practice, then we would still like to hear from you. The IT team is responsible for all our systems, so you will get to be involved in avariety of tasks.Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and manage network user accounts and the firms Active Directory
  • Create and manage Microsoft 365 accounts
  • Providing cloud users support and development of Office 365, Azure and other cloud services to support daily functions.
  • Create and manage appropriate user groups
  • Support the use of peripheral devices
  • Assist with creating and maintaining up-to-date Hardware and Software Asset Registers for each office
  • Communicate with software suppliers and 3rd party support help desk
  • Assist with IT training
  • Carry out routine maintenance on PCs laptops and other equipment as required to ensure optimum operation for users
  • Add new hardware to the network
  • Re-install software onto laptops and PCs
  • Support the installation of new software and hardware
Education & Experience
  • Knowledge of desktop PCs, Laptops, Printers, Photocopiers, VOIP Telephony and other peripherals is preferred, as is a basic understanding of networking and infrastructure.
  • They are educated to at least A Level standard.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional.
  • Minimum of 2 years working with MS Platforms / Azure.

  • Good people skills, friendly helpful and polite personality.
  • Must be able to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the business.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability & willingness to identify problems and address them.
