If you have drive and talent and enjoy responsibility, we’ll give you the support you need to explore your potential and forward your career.Read more at www.dsv.comJob description:BRIEF OVERVIEWTo Maintain, inspect, repair DSV and external customers’ vehicles and trailers to prescribed standards in accordance with the department of transport (DFT), manufacturer and operator licence.KEY REQUIREMENTSCarry out periodic safety inspections on commercial vehicles and trailers to DVSA inspection manual standards.Prepare (and present where appropriate licence held) commercial vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspections.Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.To carry out welding, fabrication and body repairs as required.To attend broken down or accident damaged vehicles and effect permanent or temporary repairs as required.Carry out scheduled service work as per manufacturers guidelines.Maintain accurate records of each repair performed ensuring that all statistics and legal information are produced, and workshop computer systems updated.Collaborate with supervisors/management to plan repairs and maintenance with regular updates on progress.Ensure all relevant legislation along with health and safety procedures are adhered to.Maintain work areas in a safe and clean condition.Attend all required training courses.To carry out any other duties as instructed by supervisory staff, which are commensurate to the grade of this post.developmentsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience in this role.Relevant qualifications in relation to the positionComputer literateGood understanding of English languageWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOUA role in a successful, dynamic companyBe a part of a strong team of performance driven colleaguesCompetitive salaryGreat future career prospects for advancementA professional working environmentABOUT DSV CAREERSDo you want to be part of something 55,000 times bigger than youThat’s how many colleagues you’ll have on a journey towards connecting the world and making your mark.We believe that people are able to achieve their potential if they take ownership of their own career.
