Job Description

Role: MET TechnicianLocation: South East London (SE23)Salary: £18.50 to £22 per hourHours: Monday to FridayOur client, a well established Independent Bodyshop and Coachworks based in South East London, are currently looking to recruit an ATA Qualified MET Technician to join their existing team.Overview:

  • Responsible for the efficient and professional removal of motor vehicle parts so that they may be repaired and painted.
  • Refitting of the parts following successful repair/paint completion.
  • Responsible for carrying out repairs to damaged vehicles, conducting diagnosis and following relevant instructions on the job cards issued or as instructed by the Bodyshop Manager.
    • Responsibilities:
  • Carry out work to company standards
  • Removing, safely storing and replacing mechanic, electrical and trim components
  • Replacing suspension parts
  • Wheel alignments
  • Diagnosing simple electrical faults
  • Removing various parts including doors, handles, bumpers and tailgates
  • Refitting new/repaired panels
  • Ensuring the work carried out follows the job card
  • Collaborating and speaking with Estimators if extra damage is found in a productive and professional way
    • Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Full UK Driver
