Job Description

My client, a prominent baked goods manufacturer are looking for a Hygiene & Quality Officer; to guarantee the implementation of the quality standards, in compliance to the hygiene and food safety regulations, in the organisation processes and procedures and to control these processes across all sites.Client DetailsFantastic multi-national ambient product manufacturer, based in South-East London.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Quality & Hygiene Officer are:

  • Implement and maintain food quality standards in line with the legislation and certification requirements.
  • Develop the internal Quality Manual and the related management processes and keeping them up to date
  • Ensure the Quality procedures have been implemented in all company sites.
  • Organise and lead the internal quality audits and prepare relevant reports where necessary.
  • Develop internal Quality KPIs for the organisation.
  • Manage and rectify any non conformity items of the Company quality system.
  • Control the conformity on products and processes.
  • Manage the conformity and non conformity of products and services for supplies and sales;
  • Monitor the QMS for all suppliers;
  • Be aligned with the processes and procedures of the quality system of the Group and the Parent Company in Europe.
  • ProfileThe ideal candidate will:
  • Have good knowledge of ISO 9001, 10854, 18001; 14001 e 50001, SA8000;
  • Good knowledge of the current legislation for food hygiene and food and environmental safety in the EU with focus in the UK;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Proactive person;
  • Excellent focus and attention to detail;
  • Capacity to work on projects and assigned plans as needed;
  • Experience of working in a wider team and closely with the operations department.
