Job Description

Commercial ManagerAdvertising | Print | Digital | Supplements | B2BLocation: South East London, near mainline stationPackage: £28,000 - £33,000 plus uncapped OTE and company benefits such as:

  • Holiday allowance 25 days, 28 after 5 years.
  • Pension 3%, and after 5 years increases to 5%

  • Role:As Commercial Manager, you will manage the daily operations of a portfolio of allocated journals, and using consultative sales, account management and client relationship management techniques you will sell print and digital advertising, bespoke promotional projects and sponsorship packages. You will work creativity and autonomously, representing the journals at European conferences and attending regular client meetings to sell promotional packages that meet their needs.Main responsibilities:
  • Sell print and digital advertising and associated projects, via telephone and face-to-face, for dedicated journals.
  • Drive new business and effectively manage existing clients.
  • Sell brand extensions, which includes round table meetings, supplements and events relating to the relevant publications.
  • Ensure all agreed sales targets are met, and our revenue potential is maximised through creative initiatives.
  • Represent the journals at relevant conferences and meetings. These are predominantly UK based, however there is possibility for occasional European and global travel.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing clients to sell new advertising and protect and increase existing business.
  • Work closely with the management, marketing and editorial teams to formulate suitable strategies to ensure the content meets market appetite.

  • To ensure all publications achieve agreed sales targets.
  • Implementation of creative initiatives to maximise potential.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to the team and wider organisation.
  • Min 18 months B2B/B2C sales experiences selling within media
