Job Description

We are looking for a full-time packing assistant in South Croydon, CR2 to support a small, family-run e-commerce business.The ideal candidate will preferably have previous experience working in a business packing orders (beautifully!) and helping with some general operations management.The position will involve:

  • Accurately preparing and packing customer orders for safe delivery
  • Inventory management including ordering stock
  • Managing postage of customer parcels using Royal Mail online system
  • Liaising with various couriers used for UK & international deliveries
  • Keeping the work areas tidy
  • An understanding of export packaging and documentation would be beneficial but not essential
  • Occasionally assisting the team on creative projects
  • updating the website when needed and assisting with e-commerce
  • invoicing and administration when required
The ideal person will be:
  • Happy to work both independently and within a small family-orientated team
  • Willing to learn
  • Have great care and attention to detail
  • Is happy to go with the flow and be flexible to complete the work required on the day
  • hard-working and most of all trustworthy
  • Must be able to read and write English proficiently
  • Previous experience working for an e-commerce business is a bonus
  • English and Maths GCSEs required
  • Good IT skills a must.
Working hrs 10.00-4.00Monday- Friday (30 hours a week)£11.50/hr.Role is available immediately.Free parking is available at the warehouse.The warehouse can get cold at times.We are looking for someone willing to stay with us long-term as there is potential for more responsibility and more hours as the business grows.Please note you must have the right to work in the UK.Some of the most suitable candidates often come from the following Backgrounds: Administrator, Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, Picker, Packer, Sales Assistant.
