Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Substance Misuse Practitioner. The position will be based in Birmingham. For further information about this position please apply.Job Title : Senior Substance Misuse PractitionerLocation: Solihull, BirminghamHours: Full time / 37.5 hours per weekType: PermanentSalary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annumIndustry: Substance MisuseKey Responsibilities:In this Senior Substance Misuse Practitioner role your responsibilities will include:

  • You will hold a case load of clients with more complex needs.
  • Meeting with clients face to face offering guidance , support and harm reduction care plans.
  • You will supervise work of Practitioners and Support Workers, prioritising activities and monitoring service delivery, outputs and outcomes
  • Provide safer injecting advice & urine screening in service
  • To deputise for the Manager, primarily in their short-term absence in the making of operational decisions on a day to day basis
  • Develop screening protocols, brief interventions, referral pathways and audit tools as necessary.
Skills and Experience
  • Understanding substance misuse and the key components of addiction
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Driver & access to own vehicle
