Job Description

Job title:Paint SprayerLocation:SolihullSalary:£26,000 - £30,000 (dependent on skills and experience) with the ability to achieve £34,600Working week: 39.5 hoursAbout the company:Whale Tankers is one of the largest manufacturers of liquid waste tankers and jetting equipment in Europe. Through customer interaction, feedback and design innovation the company have ensured that its brand stands for durability, reliability and ease of maintenance, leading to high residual values on its vehicles.A need has arisen for a Paint Sprayer to join the team based at our Solihull Head Office on a permanent, full-time basis.The duties of this role will include:

  • Spraying commercial vehicles to a high quality finish
  • Preparing vehicles for the paint process
  • General paint shop duties including paint mixing
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks within the booths
  • Carrying out touch up duties when required
  • Ensure high quality standards and safe working practices
  • Rework as required
  • Any other ad hoc duties
  • Skills:
  • Experience in commercial vehicle paint spraying is essential
  • Experience in using various paint systems including epoxy primers, high solid top coats, base and clear coats
  • Good housekeeping
  • Ability to use PPE as directed
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to achieve targets and cope well under pressure
  • Experience of working in a busy paint shop environment
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety regulations
