Job Description

Finance Administrator12 Month FTCLocation: SolihullGleeson Recruitment Group have partnered with a leading financial services business to recruit an Accounting Officer their Finance team.I am seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance Administrator to join my clients dynamic finance team.The Finance Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of financial activities within the organisation.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent numerical skills, and a keen eye for accuracy. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with other team members, as well as independently manage tasks related to financialrecord-keeping, reporting, and administrative support.Job Role:

  • Financial Record- Keeping - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Process and reconcile financial transactions promptly to ensure data integrity.
  • Budget Assistance - Support the finance team in the preparation and monitoring of budgets. Assist in variance analysis and provide explanations for budget deviations.
  • Bank Reconciliation - Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between financial records and bank statements
  • Financial Reporting - Generate and prepare financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
About you:
  • Prior experience of working within a financial environment
  • Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyse large volumes of data
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with spreadsheets
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • Flexible working approach and the ability to commit to extended hours if required to at short notice
  • Experience of using accounting software including Coda Financials
