Job Description

Job Title: Facilities & Environmental Services - Project ManagerLocation: SolihullContract Length: circa 12 monthsDay Rate: £300-£335Hybrid work modelTo assist the Project Sponsor, Property Development Manager and Property Programme Manager to plan and manage the development and delivery of projects within the Accelerating Housing Delivery Programme, to ensure they are delivered to the required scopeand quality, within budget and to agreed milestones.At present, a total of seven housing delivery schemes utilising Solihull MBC assets are to be planned and delivered to support regional housing targets within the Borough of Solihull, building on work already undertaken on the feasibility of these sitesand prepare future Outline Business Cases (OBC) to submit to the West Midland Combined Authority for approval for release of further grant funding.The role will also be required to support an emerging Playing Pitch Implementation Strategy to enable delivery of housing sites affected by the Local Plan and when required, other potential ad-hoc development schemes.Role Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

  1. To work with the Project Sponsor, Property Development Manager and Programme Manager to meet the project objectives, milestones and deliverables for each project.
  1. To identify resources required to deliver project objectives, secure and procure the necessary resources within a given budget and where appropriate external grant conditions.
  1. To manage and deliver day to day operational aspects of agreed projects and provide updates to support the Programme Manager monthly reporting on actions, milestones and cashflow forecast.
  1. Act as conduit for all incoming and outgoing information and correspondence relating to the programme and sub-projects.
  1. To be responsible for leading project technical teams and task groups, including but not limited to architects, drainage, structural & geo-technical/environmental engineers and planning consultants, to develop and efficiently deliver effective technicalsolutions on projects.
  1. Support facilitation of and chair in the absence of the Project Sponsor, meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to landowners and/or their agents, consultants and the planning officers of the Council, to ensure thatall relevant issues are To work with the Project Sponsor, Property Development Manager and Programme Manager to meet the project objectives, milestones and deliverables for each project.
