Electrical Project Engineer x2Solihull9/12 MonthsMy high-profile Utilities client is currently recruiting for x2 Electrical Project Engineers to come and join their Solihull based team on an initial 9/12-month contractJob PurposeTo support our mission & promise to deliver the operation of HVDC interconnectors and the wider infrastructure needed to make net-zero a reality, we currently have exciting opportunities for an Asset Strategy Project Engineer to join the Interconnector AssetStrategy team. The positions are based in Solihull, but hybrid working can be considered with travel to other sites in Kent Hampshire and Northumberland.The individual will support the Asset Policy manager and take responsibility for delivering specific tasks. This will include internal reporting, developing internal procedure documents, organising and reporting on regular management meetings. The individual will support in organising the user engagement of developments to our asset management. Key AccountabilitiesYou will be responsible for creating and amending policies, procedures, technical specifications, work specifications, internal standards and technical guidance within area of expertise.You will support the delivery of upgrades to our asset management system.* Work closely with the Operations Managers and Project Leaders to ensure clear forecast of work to be delivered. * Provide timely scheme information to the delivery teams including design information and equipment. * Provide budget and cost information to the Project Leaders for self-delivered scheme work. * Support in tender evaluation from a delivery perspective * Maintaining high levels of safety across all projects. * Support co-ordination of projects on the same site as other delivery vehicles. * Prioritise conflicting priorities across the portfolio. * Accountable for project delivery for PMO schemes within year (self-delivery & Contractor) within portfolio. * Undertake scheme design activities as necessary. Knowledge, experience and technical know how Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Asset Management. Appreciation of High Voltage equipment. Ability to thrive when working to challenging deadlines. Suitable technical/professional qualifications achieved through Degree or equivalent on job professional experience Member of a relevant professional institution or experience to apply for registration and membership or equivalent Excellent stakeholder management, influence & engagement focusIf you do not receive a response within 48 hours, then please assume that you have not been shortlisted this time
