Job Description

Position:SEN Maths TeacherThe Aurora Redehall:Aurora Redehall School supports children aged 6-11 years with communication difficulties typically associated with Aspergers Syndrome and Autism.We are linked toAurora CaterhamEducation Centreand share the same Headteacher and Senior Management Team, however each site has its own Assistant Head and team of Teachers and TAs. Although the sites operate separately on the whole, students do cross between sites occasionally.Key Duties:Theteam at Redehall are a family, they believe in working together to achieve the best for their co-workers and students alike. Naturally passionate educators, the whole team strive to exceed expectations at every opportunity.Please note that duties will varyand you must expect to lend a hand wherever is required.

  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
  • Maths specialism required, able to work at Math Lead Level for KS2
  • Experience of working in an alternate provision / PRU is desirable.
  • Ability to teach a range of subjects but Maths as a specialism
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with ASD, SEMH and PDA profile
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
  • Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge
