Job Description

OPRA have a great opportunity for a Civil Engineering Estimator, required for Groundwork and Concrete Frame Specialists, who deliver a huge variety of projects ranging in value from £1 million to £50 million throughout London and the Southeast.Looking for an experienced Estimator in East Sussex.Processing Tenders from Receipt to Submission.Role Duties:

Quantify the extent of the works involved from tender documents.
Review commercial and technical risks for best solution(s)
Address key client requirements and expectations to develop a productive working relationship.
Identify and engage supply chain to maximise commercial opportunities and savings during the bid process.
Preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates, including bills of quantities
Check and ensure maintenance of a controlled copy of Client’s Enquiry documents and resultant communications.
Prepare an accurate cost estimate for the preliminary resources required to carry out the works in accordance with agreed programme and engineering requirements.
Prepare and present the commercial aspects of the tender to the Commercial Bid

Essential Skills:

Commercial and contractual awareness
A good level of competency of Microsoft packages
Good working knowledge of Estimate Software
An excellent communicator
Demonstrable experience of dealing with multiple clients, forms of contract and methods of measurement
Absolute minimum GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics
An Industry applicable qualification

Key Requirements:

Experience with Concrete frames or Ground works
Motivated and Dedicated
Good Leadership skills
