Senior Project Manager (International Programmes)Slimbridge, Gloucestershire (with hybrid working options and regular international travel)The Organisation We are the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust (WWT), the UKs leading wetland conservation charity. We are now seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a range of amazing conservation projects on a permanent, full-time basis. Providing leadership and guidance to your team, youll support them to develop their skills and identify tools and techniques to effectively allocate responsibilities. You will enable them to continually improve their performance and maximise their contribution. Using your technical expertise in conservation and restoration planning, youll develop strategies to ensure that project goals are practical and achievable. Youll proactively seek new project opportunities to drive our impact and use your experience fromprevious projects to identify improvements that can be incorporated into future project delivery. Additionally, you will:- Implement an internal project communication strategy- Manage external stakeholders- Oversee budgeting and resource management- Produce internal reports and other publications- Ensure health & safety and environmental & social safeguarding management plans are in placeAbout YouTo be considered as a Senior Project Manager, you will need:- Substantial experience in the field of international conservation in a developing world context- A track record of working with local communities to develop and deliver integrated conservation and development initiatives- Extensive experience of managing successful large-scale, complex, multi-stakeholder projects- Experience of networking, partnership building and relationship management- Experience of implementing effective governance arrangements to ensure timely decision making, effective risk management, and compliance with organisational policies- Experience of managing and/or an understanding of grants and corporate funding partnerships- A track record managing a team of skilled professionals- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- IT proficiency, particularly Microsoft packages- At a minimum, a MSc in Conservation, Ecology, Sustainable Development or a related field (or equivalent), ideally a PhDThe closing date for this role is the 12th February 2023.
