Job Description

Ward ClerkSwansea Pay - £20,330 - £21,777 per annumJob Purpose:

  • The role involves providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the administrative and diagnostic services of the department.
  • The post holder will be a key member of the team working closely with the Laboratory Manager, Scientific staff and laboratory support workers. This is a key supporting role to the effective running of the team and may include specimen reception/data inputduties as part of the core role.
  • The post holder may be required to support microbiology consultants in respect of preparing ward round notes and transcription, which may involve remotely covering within the region
  • The post holder is required to communicate and liaise with staff and members of partner organisations, produce work to deadlines whilst ensuring compliance with Public Health Wales policies.
