Job Description

Switchboard OperatorLocation - SwanseaContract - Temporary, ongoingManpower is recruiting a Switchboard Operator to work for our NHS client. As the first point of contact for the service, operators are responsible for providing a responsive and efficient switchboard/information service 24/7 to all service users.Ability to speak Welsh at an intermediate level is essential.Key Responsibilities:

Adhering to policies and procedures
Understanding organisational functions and medical terminology
Responding to emergencies and alarms
Maintaining and updating call rotas and records
Testing emergency procedures and systems
Operating access control systems

Qualifications and Experience:

Educated to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent
Experience in a call handling role/fast-paced customer service environment
Knowledge of switchboard processes, policies, and information systems
NVQ in Customer Services or Call Handling (or willingness to undertake)

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills and clear speaking voice
Ability to work in a pressured environment with frequent interruptions and a high level of background noise
Ability to work unsupervised and under your own initiative
Friendly and helpful disposition
Ability to speak Welsh at an intermediate level (essential)
