Job Description

The Gynaecology Department at Singleton Hospital have an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join a highly dynamic team. The successful applicant will be required initially to undertake both ward and clinic duties in order to build up their experience and skills within this speciality.We have a wide variety of general gynaecology clinics which include uro-gynae, fertility, rapid access, emergency gynaecology and a nurse led early pregnancy clinic. The gynaecology team are looking to develop a more ambulatory service which will also include out-patient hysteroscopy.The successful applicant is required to work as part of a multi - disciplinary team so excellent communication skills are essential. As a team we aim to provide a supportive environment for patients and their relatives when dealing with sensitive and emotional issues.The successful candidate will need to have a passion for women health. Previous experience in working in gynaecology is desirable but not essential as the department will provide excellent opportunities for both experienced and newly qualified registered nurses to develop their skills and knowledge across a variety of gynaecology clinics.The clinics run Monday to Friday therefore flexible working is required.Applicants must share the Values and Behaviours of Swansea Bay University Health Board.The ability to speak welsh is desirable for this post.
