An opportunity exists to join an innovative team at Singleton Hospital Neonatal Unit which is one of 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Wales, together with a recently commissioned dedicated Transitional Care facility.The neonatal unit at Singleton Hospital is a busy level 3 unit. Currently there are 13 critical care and 10 special care cots although the unit frequently provides more care than this due to the flexible use of nursing staff. There are 11 neonatal consultants in post. In addition to deanery trainees, middle grade cover is provided by highly trained ANNPs, resident consultants and MTI trainees and senior clinical fellows.We have recently opened a state of the art new transitional care facility and special care area adjacent to the refurbished postnatal ward.
