Job Description

The Supply Chain Planner will support in the daily operations of stock / Inventory management, supplier management and aid the Supply Chain Team leader in forecasting.Client DetailsI have teamed up with a global distribution company who specialise in Industrial Power packs and provide additional units for the Industrial Sector.Location: SkelmersdaleDescriptionPurpose of role: To manage stock supply and demand within a supplier portfolio to ensure adequate availability with cash inventory targetsKey responsibilities of the Supply Chain Planner:

  • Managing suppliers to ensure best in class service levels including regular reviews
  • Purchase order creation in line with supplier lead times
  • Managing the purchasing delivery schedule and order progression
  • Monitor, track and report on supplier availability
  • Manage and maintain good relationships with domestic and international freight forwarders
  • To provide input and business intelligence to the system forecasts
  • To ensure all supply chain data is up to date and correct (eg MOQs, lead times etc)
  • Liaison with various departments to ensure objectives are met (eg sales, logistics, customer service etc)
  • Taking on any other tasks and ad hoc duties as requested to support the wider busines
