  • Ensure that Veolia Landfill and Waste Treatment facilities are operated and developed to a standard of the site permit.
  • Develop, control and monitor budgets in the assigned areas to ensure all activities remain in line with the budget.
  • Actively support and contribute to the continuous improvement of the companies management systems incorporating Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety.
  • Achieve targeted levels of operating income, manage importing and exporting materials off and on site.
  • Deliver growth projects and secure appropriate new business to ensure growth targets are achieved.
  • Managing a team of 6 direct reports / 16 employees with wider responsibility
What are we looking for
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the waste industry within landfill / hazardous waste management
  • Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC)
  • Environmental / Science degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of managing all financial aspects of landfill management - profit and loss, budgeting and cost control.
  • A good understanding of Environmental Legislation and EA
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
