An automotive component manufacturer with multiple sites in the UK and the West Midlands require a Business Area Manager to lead the department within budget and target to meet customer requirements and standards. The ideal candidate will have automotiveexperience and had full P&L responsibility before in the past. Commutable from: Redditch, Coventry, Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Worcester, Kidderminster, StourbridgePackage: £63,000 - £65,000 p.a. + Car Allowance +Pension + Family Medical +Bonus Suitable for: Head of Operations, Operations Manager, Operations Director, Operations Manager, Senior Production Manager, Assistant General Manager, Business Unit Manager The Role Reporting to the Assistant General Manager you will hold the following responsibilities:-Manage the production of the required daily and weekly targets in line with the customers specification. -Ensure new products are effectively planned and launched into the Unit communicating the impact of manufacturing activities throughout the plant. -Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness by necessary data analysis.-Manage and lead the team ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holidays, recruitment, training, development and disciplinary. -Set the department KPIs, reviewing and assessing ongoing performance. -Responsible for controlling the manufacturing budget.The Person Educated to degree level or as a minimum NVQ level 5 in a manufacturing or engineering discipline you will have experience in the following: -Experience in a 1st tier automotive environment.-Significant proven supervisory experience with a technical understanding of JIT/JIS.-Previous experience in holding full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility.-An understanding of best practices; APQP, kaizen and lean manufacturing. -A good understanding of IATF 16949, ISO9001 IOSH and ISO 14001.To apply for this opportunity please click to apply or contact Greg Kneuss at the Ethero office in Telford for further details.
