Job Description

Assistant ManagerAre you looking for the next step in your care career We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable Assistant Manager to join a Personalised Support Team in Worksop town centre.Position: Assistant ManagerLocation: Worksop, NottinghamshireSalary: £8,651 to £10,302 per annumHours: 15 per week, part time, with the possibility of full time with an additional Support Worker role. You must be able to work over a 7 day period. Typical shift times can be between the hours of 07.00am-22.00pm. In the event of staffing shortages you may be required to cover between 22.00pm-07.00am in a service. You will also be expected to cover duty manager shifts, which include early shifts, late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.Closing Date: Sunday 28 March 2021Interview Date: Tuesday 23 March 2021About the role: The charity provides a supported living service for 4 individuals living with mental health issues, mild learning disability, behaviours of concern and/or personality disorders. They require support to maintain their tenancy, manage day to day needs, and with social engagement to enable them to live to their true potential.PST North is a fast paced environment; your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Participating in the recruitment, selection and induction of new colleagues
  • Line management responsibilities including managing performance where applicable and increasing motivation and productivity
  • Reviewing risk assessments, support plans and set up agreed individual support packages for new service users
  • Planning and administering rotas
  • Helping to maintaining a safe physical environment for colleagues and service users
  • Due to the needs of customers, there may be elements of moving and handling, risk management and physical intervention involved in the role; as such, you will need to be willing and able to undertake these duties.As part of working for PST North, you will be expected to cover absences for various locations across Mansfield and Ashfield, Chesterfield, Newark and Sherwood as required, which could also include personal care.About you: To be successful in the role of Assistant Manager you will already have substantial experience of working in care setting and have gained the practical skills to ensure that the project supports service users through a person centred approach.You will not only be reactive and capable of dealing with the issues that crop up on a day to day basis, but also be proactive by coming up with better ways of working to ensure that agreed service standards are maintained and are complied with. You will be adaptable to change and resilient in your approach to work.Training and development will be provided to the successful candidate and there are lots of opportunities to enhance your knowledge including working towards a Level 3 health and social care qualification.A full valid driving license with access to a vehicle is also essential for the role.In Return: Our client has some great reasons to work for them, benefits included with the role of Assistant Manager include:
