Job Description

Server and Storage EngineerA Global Organisation with locations worldwide who thrive on moving forward with innovative thinking, have asked me to help find them a Storage and Server Engineer.My client has recently formed a new team to accelerate their technology transformation, this is a very exciting time as you will be a part of the journey from ground up.Key duties will include:

  • Working with specialists and support teams to ultimately resolve issues and deliver solutions to the data centres.
  • Daily checks on their systems including, monitoring systems and performance alerts
  • You will be involved in hardware and software break fixes along with monitoring and maintenance of the system.
  • Maintenance of servers and storage with automation
Skills/ experience required as the Server and Storage Engineer would be: Managing Microsoft Windows Server and Client platforms Managing VMware VSphere or Hyper V Experience in all system Installations including Testing, maintenance, and configuration Disaster recovery strategy solutions and backup/security maintenance Working with datacentre hardware, troubleshooting, and replacement of failed components Knowledge & Experience of datacentre networking troubleshooting skills Experience of data centre networking troubleshooting skills Solid understanding of scripting e.g., PowerShell Strong passion for virtualisation, data protection, storage, and technology Ability to recognise business risk with changes through IT Strong motivation to be able to document and deliver training to support line teams.
