Job Description

Job Title: Structural Steel Fabricator WelderShift: Night Shift (Monday to Thursday)Working Hours: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM OR 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM (40-hour week)Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Steel Fabricator Welder to join our team on the night shift. As a Structural Steel Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding various structural steel components according to specificationsand blueprints. The night shift schedule offers flexibility and an opportunity to work additional hours through overtime.Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to fabricate and weld structural steel components.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and/or TIG welders, to weld steel parts with precision and accuracy.
  • Perform structural steel fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling components.
  • Ensure proper fit and alignment of fabricated parts, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Follow safety guidelines and adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members, including engineers, fabricators, and project managers, to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness, and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Structural Steel Fabricator Welder, with a strong background in welding and fabrication of structural steel components.
  • Proficient in MIG and/or TIG welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with various welding equipment and tools used in structural steel fabrication.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to welding and fabrication activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and overtime as required, up to 60 hours per week.
