Job Description

Data Developer/Data EngineerOverviewThe Data Developer will help enhance our information architecture, to develop and maintain data integration pipelines, ETL jobs and other data flows. As part of a small cross functional team the role also includes reporting & analytics, data modelling and solution design functions.Supporting BI, product development, data science, marketing and operational functions the role combines knowledge of business data, technology and agile engineering to deliver BI solutions that better connect people to actionable data insights.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain BI solutions for Product Analysts, Sales, Marketing and
    • customer channels
  • Design and automate ETL solutions to integrate source systems into the data
  • Extend and architect logical data models to facilitate self service data analysis
  • Support senior data analysts in solving data challenges and provide a 1st class data service to internal users and customers
    • Essential Skills and Experience
  • A passion for BI, Data Engineering & Analytics
  • MS SQL as well as PL/SQL would be advantageous
  • Data Plumbing Experience - ETL, ELT, data integration, data transformation
  • Expert in use of ETL tools such as SSIS
  • Strong SQL Skills and programming experience in either java, python, C#
  • Experience of working with structured and semi-structured data sets
    • Other desirable skills
  • Exposure to cloud data warehousing, e.g Azure, Bigquery, redshift, snowflake, Athena
  • Use of Cloud Analytics tools e.g. looker, power BI, thoughtspot, chartio
  • Knowledge of ETL as a service applications e.g. snaplogic, aws glue, fivetran,stitch
  • Experience of monitoring and improving data quality
  • Knowledge of data streaming architectures and microservices, e.g Kafka, flume
  • Exposure to cloud data warehousing, e.g Bigquery, redshift, snowflake, Athena
  • An expert in any BI tool (e.g. looker, tableau, qlik, microstrategy)
