Job Description

Second Line Support Engineer (28-33K) Shipley onsiteMy client who are a well established software company are looking for a strong 2nd line support analyst to join the team. They are looking for someone with working knowledge of SQL and also some background monitoring and maintaining of a SaaS applicationand its infrastructure. This is an office based role in Shipley.Role:

  • Performing software installations and data imports
  • Support and administration of the production hosted environments:
  • Investigating (analysis/diagnosis) and resolving queries seeing through to completion
  • Performance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Planning, implementation, and maintenance of security
  • Managing data backups
  • Patching
  • Data migration and conversion tasks
  • DNS
  • Log monitoring
  • Serve as liaison between client and internal development for all escalated product related issues, including product enhancements, bug resolution and overall product education
  • Assistance and cover of the 1st line team when required
  • Assisting with the service delivery process
You will need -
  • At least 2 years previous experience as a Customer Support or Technical Support Analyst providing application support in a second- or third-line capacity
  • SQL Server experience within a production environment for at least 1 year, with the ability to demonstrate competent ability to create and execute SQL statements and interpret the results
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Great communication skills are a must
  • Experience in Windows server maintenance
