Job Description

We are looking for a Retirement Housing Officer to join Incommunities on a permanent basis, covering the Bradford area. We are looking for a caring individual, to provide daily welfare checks to our residents, overseeing use of communal areas and ensuringour schemes deliver a high quality service and value for money.This vacancy is Monday to Friday - 30 hours per week.About usWe are social housing landlord and think our vision of Improving Lives Incommunities says it all!Working to provide great homes in great neighbourhoods, we manage more than 22,600 homes across Yorkshire and are proud to collaborate with our customers, communities, local and national stakeholders to achieve this.Our values are at the heart of everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our plans and actions.   • Work with customers and external agencies to ensure they are happy, safe and comfortable in their homes
  • Oversee use of communal areas, monitor building safety & maintenance issues, and outside services such as window cleaners and grounds maintenance
  • Oversee the delivery of tenancy management on the scheme
  • Managing empty properties on scheme & new lettings of properties to suitable customers, organising open days to promote the scheme and service
  • Working with other departments and agencies to resolve any issues that arise relating to the tenancies are dealt with
  • Ensure that all scheme services are of high quality, consistently delivered and offer the best value for our residents
Requirements
  • Experience working in a customer service role, ideally within the housing sector
  • A caring and empathetic approach
  • A calm and sensible manner in order to handle potential emergency situations
  • Excellent attention to detail in order to notice any change in the condition of a customer and take appropriate action
  • Good IT skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft systems including Excel
  • A commitment to equality
  • An awareness of the needs of people with different cultural backgrounds
  • Driving licence and own vehicle
