Job Description

  • Key leader within the finance team, delivering changes to the finance and purchase systems, business support, systems analysis, training, and implementation of new developments.
  • Lead in redesigning the structure and hierarchies of the finance system to the needs of the business and assessing appropriate alternatives.
  • Coordinate the changes to the chart of accounts and set data structure and Matrix to improve reporting
  • User management and security to ensure consistency with the financial regulations.
  • Facilitate improved reporting through existing business applications or introduce new ones.
  • Improve and maintain data integrity through systems improvements and effective business and system rules management.
  • Review current systems processes and procedures and propose improvements to improve service, security and information.
  • Work with the Finance and IT Team and third parties, co-ordinate and organise upgrades, documenting and maintaining system files
  • Assist in knowledge sharing of best practices and process through the creation of guides and documentation.
  • Liaise between IT and Finance and keep both teams up to date on changes and future work to enable scheduling of resources.
  • Identify and scope the requirements for a new finance system
About you
  • Experience managing a finance systems
  • Demonstrate strong experienced in financial IT systems - preferably in the social housing sector
  • Are process and system driven.
  • Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Are absolutely committed to delivering excellent customer experience and an excellent service to our stakeholders.
  • Able to take on a diverse set of complex financial challenges, have resilience to withstand demands and pressure in your work in fast paced environment.
  • Have confidence and exhibit collaborative working with colleagues in other areas of the organisation
Requirements
  • 3 years experience managing a finance systems function
  • Data analysis, cleansing and structuring skill
  • Professional qualification (advantageous) and SQL skills.
  • Extensive experience with Open Accounts and similar accounting systems
  • Passion for automation and building efficient processes.
  • Ability to translate business needs to system requirement
  • Excellent communication skills; oral and written
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to prepare management accounts on a monthly basis and report on variances.
  • Experience of partnership working with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and aptitude to manipulate, analyse, present and manage data.
