Job Description

We are looking to recruit a part qualified Finance Business Partner to join us on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will have primary responsibility for preparing financial data for the Investment & Compliance serviceat Incommunities.   • Have primary responsibility for preparing financial data for the Investment & Compliance service (including but not limited to; Budgeting, Forecasting, maintaining asset register RAM, depreciation and impairment reviews)
  • Work in partnership with key service contacts to develop insightful information that will support decisionmaking.
  • Support the organisation through analysis, ensuring that this remains relevant, valued and linked to business strategies.
  • Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts.
  • Hold monthly meetings with budget holders to discuss actuals, budgets andforecasts.
  • Review and challenge forecasts prepared by budgetholders.
  • Review the accuracy of figures presented inreports.
  • Prepare accurate and timely information in the managementaccounts.
  • Prepare reconciliations to the trialbalance.
  • Contribute towards the externalaudit.
  • Reconcile properties numbers in the fixed asset system to stock detail reports from the housing management system.
  • Ensure the Capitalisation Policy is maintained, implemented and provide guidance on capital accounting treatment as and when required.
Requirements
  • Part qualified with a degree and studying towards higher level accountancy exams (e.g..ACA,ACCA,CIMA).
  • Understand your audience and can deliver information in a clear logicalmanner.
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues in other areas of theorganisation
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • An up-to-date knowledge of the Housing SORP and FRS102.
  • Experience of capital accounting
  • Knowledge of a fixed asset system for example RAM
  • Experience of partnership working with senior stakeholders and budget holders.
  • Good at problem solving.
  • Ability to develop process maps and procedures.
  • Ability to manipulate data and present findings concisely.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
