Knowledge of C# (foundation knowledge), OOPs concepts, and an understanding of the testing lifecycle are beneficial.Role PurposeAs a member of the Automation Testing team and in time potentially a Scrum team you will be responsible for writing automation tests both Selenium and API Tests for Features using technologies such as, but not limited to, Selenium and C#.You will ensure that the automation tests written are reliable and are easy to maintain. You will ensure that automation tests run successfully on Teamcity regularly; in case of failing / unreliable tests you will be responsible to maintain these tests.This is a hands-on testing role and you will be involved in technical testing against requirements of the organisations products. You will ensure that a highly robust approach is taken to testing to ensure our software products are fit for purpose uponrelease to clients. You will work in a test-driven environment and be required to deliver quality software.AccountabilitiesYou will support the following activities:

• Help the team identify the automation candidate for the Features. Identify/ explain to the team what the best way is to test the scenario using the Testing Triangle
• Plan on how best you could automate the Feature. Think about how the methods can be reused and extended so that they can be used across the solution / feature file
• Organise and write test cases using Spec flow BDD and then automate them using Selenium and C#
• Investigate and set up automated builds and ensure a consistent approach is applied to the testing of products
• Run automation tests regularly to ensure that the automation tests give you reliable results
• Prepare test plans, specifications, procedures and controls to provide a structured approach to testing and the reports of testing outcomes
• Produce documentation and test scripts from functional and technical specifications, and ensure these are followed at the correct stage in the project plan / testing life cycl

PERSON SPECIFICATIONKnowledge and key skillsThe successful applicant will have 2+ years Automation Testing experience. The most important technologies to have knowledge of, are:

• Selenium with C#; OOPs concepts; understanding of the testing lifecycle
• Experience in creating a CICD pipeline using Azure, Teamcity etc
• Strong understanding of version control tools
• Knowledge/ Experience with Microsoft. Net technologies; MS SQL Server
• Experience working in a Scrum Team
• Experience in Functional software testing; Integration testing; System testing; Acceptance testing
• Preferable Knowledge of Virtual machines, Docker.

Qualifications

• Computer science, software degree or equivalent
• Hold an Intermediate ISEB / ISTQB certificate or higher.
