Job Description

Our client, a highly successful cafe group in Surrey are currently looking for a Chef with pastry skills for their cafe on the outskirts of Guildford. This will be on a full time basis and they are looking for a chef with a strength in the pastry section to act as a 3rd chef in the kitchen and would be required to get involved in service & on occasions run the kitchen.The pastry aspect would include to make and bake afternoon tea elements and produce the desserts for the restaurant evenings. The Company:The company very much pride themselves on the taste and presentation of their food and on giving a high level service so this will be a very high quality food led business where all food is made on the premises from high quality, locally sourced ingredients. Renowned for the very high level of customer service they provide and the genuinely warm and friendly atmosphere within the café. The cafes generally open from 8-4pm daily on a 5/7 day basis. In the largest cafe there are around 8 in the permanent team.The Person: The company are looking for a Chef that:- has a real passion for food- pastry experience- has great interpersonal skills- is outgoing and would have the ability to manage service confidently- would be able to demonstrate that they have a genuine interest in fresh food- has the ability to work as part of a team towards the common goal of providing an excellent product to the customer-experience of a similar nature would be an advantage.You will be required to work 5/7 day working rota, daytimes.The company offers benefits including:-an excellent working environment-excellent hours of work -competitive salary-plus more!If you are interested in this Chef opportunity please apply now.
