CAFE SUPERVISOR DAYTIMES NR GUILDFORD

Job Description

Our client, are an independently owned café and tea shop on the outskirts of Guildford. The group were awarded Best café in Surrey 2018 and now have two further cafes in the Guildford area.They are currently looking to recruit a strong Supervisor to join and lead their the team.This is a 40 cover cafe with large outside area. They are open from 8-4pm daily and you will be required to work on a 5/7 day basis. There are around 8 in the team and a further 8 casuals for busy weekend days. This is a hands on role as you will work in a small team on some occasions with just one other so your role would involve being able to manage cashing up, ordering, food handling, service etc as required.The company very much pride themselves on the taste and presentation of their food and on giving a high level of service. So this will be a very high quality food led business where all food is made on the premises from quality, locally sourced ingredients. They are renowned for the very high level of customer service they provide and the genuinely warm and friendly atmosphere within the café. The Person: The company are looking for a Supervisor with a real passion for food, with great interpersonal skills, is outgoing and would have the ability to manage service confidently. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have a genuine interest in their trade. You should also have the ability to work as part of a team towards the common goal of providing an excellent product to the customer. Supervisor Requirements:-Existing FOH hospitality experience (could be hotel, cafe, restaurant, event catering)- Warm, friendly personality- A team player- Lots of energy- Ability to multi task and work under pressure- An interest in good foodAs the Supervisor you will be required to work daytimes, 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a lovely friendly team offering a great work life balance.
