Job Description

As a Project Worker you are a member of the small, supportive team. You provide one-to-one support sessions to clients as well as assist in delivering training & running support groups & short courses as required.Sheffield Mind is committed to investing in and developing our workforce. The successful candidates will receive:

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process client Referrals, including the review of Referral Form, undertaking comprehensive Assessments of potential clients and of their homes & concluding on appropriate outcomes Develop support plans in partnership with clients for the attainment of successfuloutcomes Carry a caseload of clients to provide one-to-one support in their homes, remotely & other locations by agreement Support the service manager in delivering training and presentations regarding hoarding, to a variety of organisations & clients Supportthe facilitation of Hoarding Support Groups for clients Ensure the capture & completion of client forms & other data for service monitoring Liaise with a variety of key stakeholders in pursuit of best support for client Maintain appropriate records of activityand decisions in accordance with Sheffield Minds policy Work within the clinical governance framework of Sheffield Mind Attend regular supervision with the Magpies service manager Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Sheffield Mind policies Demonstratea commitment to continuing professional development Work to Sheffield Mind policies and procedures, including complying with lone working procedures Actively promote and ensure good diversity & equalities practice and work in an anti-oppressive manner Supportand contribute to the charitable and fundraising work of Sheffield Mind, as appropriate Carry out such other tasks as are required to meet the aims and objectives of the organisation and contribute to the smooth running of the service
The Project is continually evolving, there are further opportunities to play a role in some of the following;
  • Research recycling, waste removal & small repairs providersexplore viability of a Magpies Project trusted framework for such service provision Research sources of & access to specialist recycling, supporting the reasonable execution of such tasks forclients Open drop in support sessions for clients &/or offer drop in telephone line support Liaison/research with community organisations, charities & other potential recipients of client items Develop information materialsfor signposting, donation guide,client starter pack, Hoarding leaflet for friends & family & partner agencies Support the development & delivery of Hoardingrelated short courses for clients Support the facilitation of Hoarding Support Groups for clients Provision of education sessionsfor clients in basic skills to access the internet & the use of online channels selling and recycling items (for example via eBay or Freecycle) Support clients in the process of selling items via channels above (short term supportt

  • Actively participate in supervision with the Magpies Project Coordinator Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development Work to Sheffield Mind policies and procedures Actively promote and ensure good equal opportunities practice and workin an anti-oppressive manner Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Sheffield Mind policies Support and contribute to the charitable and fundraising work of Sheffield Mind, as appropriate.
