Job Description

Special Needs Teaching AssistantEmpowering Learning are looking to recruit a Special Needs Teaching assistant to work in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Guildford, Surrey. The successful applicant will be part of the schools behaviour support team supporting a vast array of pupils withchallenging behaviour.

The school are looking for someone to start on Monday and there is an opportunity for you to stay on in September.
The school are looking for a calm and resilent candidate who can offer the pupil enough consistency to allow them to reintegrate back into the classroom. The pupils will have SEMH and will be prone to outbursts meaning that you may not always beclassroom based. Prior experience of working with children with challenging behaviour would be advantageous but is not a necessity.
Coming from a Sports or Drama Background will be an advantage as that has worked out well in the past
This a genuine position to start on Monday (Subject to relevant compliance checks etc).
