Behaviour Mentor Needed in OrpingtonEmpowering Learning are currently working with a Special Needs School in Guildford. They cater for pupils up to 11 Years old.About the school:The School provides education and support for 5 -11 year olds pupils who are at risk of being, or have been, permanently excluded from mainstream primary schools. They aim to work with young people to identify and remove barriers to learning, so thatwhere possible they can return to a mainstream school or access a specialist school setting if more appropriate.The requirements of this role will be mainly behaviour support. For this position, experience is not necessary in this position. They are purely looking for someone to be engaging and have the correct attitude and beliefs.Work will be on either a 1:1 or small group basis. All schemes of work and lessons will be planned by the teachers; however, you will be required to work with students who struggle in a class setting or need additional support with learning. Additional responsibilitieswould include supporting students during break time and in lessons. Many of the students are disengaged therefore you will need to be resilient and calm, preparing to put in the time required to build relationships with the students you support.For candidates who commit, the school can offer excellent rates of pay, as well as a friendly and stable working environment.
