English Tutor (full-time permanent) £30,626 - £34,453 per annumHours per week: 37.5Evening and Weekend working required Start dateas soon as possibleFircroft College of Adult Education is an award-winning residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities for some ofthe most disadvantaged members of society. One hundred years on our mission of social justice is more relevant than ever. The college puts its values at the heart of the organisation and has developed its own Framework for Transformational Teaching, Learningand Assessment.The college is seeking to appoint to the role of English Tutor to start as soon as possible. This is a rare chance to join our tutor team on a permanent and full-time basis.You will teach on a range of accredited and RARPA programmes including Functional Skills E3-L2, ESOL and our Level 3 Access to HE Diplomas. Delivery models include residentials, weekly and blended. The main subject areas are English literature, English languageand Study Skills. An ability to contribute to other parts of our curriculum is desirable. You will have the freedom to develop your own approach and materials within a coaching culture.To be considered for this role you must be qualified as an English specialist. Ideally you have experience of teaching and assessing adults. You need good digital skills.
