Job Description

Elite Consult are recruiting for our client in Seal Sands for an Operations Planner.The Company is an independent bulk liquid storage provider with over 1.28 million cubic metres (cbm) of storage capacity. Formed in 2016, they operate four terminals, each strategically located in major UK ports and serving key demand centres within theUK. Two of which are based in the North East, Seal sands and North Tees.Seal sands has a diverse portfolio with storage of Petroleum products, chemicals, liquefied gas, sustainable vegetable oils and bitumen. with a total storage capacity of 287,000cbm.The North Tees Terminals current portfolio is Petroleum products, crude oil and vegetable oil with a total storage capacity of 573,000cbm. The terminals operate under a HMRC Customs and Excise warehouse and are classed as a Top Tier COMAH site.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Direct liaison with clients (UK and European based), third parties (shipping agents / hauliers / suppliers and port authority) and internal departments for the safe movement of product via road / ship and direct pipeline
  • Dealing with customer requests to strict deadlines
  • Planning movement of product both efficiently for the client but also in the best interests of terminal operations.
  • Processing of orders in the terminals SAP / Automated road systems and other customer systems for all movements of product
  • Managing inventory accurately inline with Navigator Standards and HMRC legislation
  • Ensuring product availability at all times for customers
  • Taking responsibility for producing accurate documentation in relation to Customs documentation and EAD (Electronic Accompanying Documents) in line with HMRC, Customs clearances and Border force approvals in line with the terminals approvals.
  • Managing operations in line with commercial requirements.
  • Working in conjunction with a number of departments in the terminal (Operations / Engineering / Safety / Commercial / Projects) to meet goals and requirements of the business / clients.
Salary & Benefits:
  • The salary will be £26-£31k subject to experience with the following benefits:
  • On commencement of employment, you shall be entitled to participate in the Companys life assurance cover, to the value of 4 x your annual salary
  • After six months of employment, you shall be entitled to participate in the Companys enhanced company pension scheme. The scheme complies with our Auto-enrolment responsibility and you will be given the opportunity to opt out if you so wish. Currently,the employee contribution is 5% and Employer 5%, rising to 8% after 5 years service. Pension scheme details are found in the explanatory booklet which will be given to you prior to your potential joining date
  • On successful completion on your probationary period, you shall be entitled to participate in the Companys health care schemes. Details on how to apply will be sent to you by HR once you become eligible
  • After 5 years of employment with Navigator, you will be entitled to participate in the Companys permanent health insurance scheme
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays. Rising up to a maximum of 30 days based on service.
The working hours are flexible, and the following shifts are in place Monday to Friday:
  • 8am-4pm
  • 8.30am-4.30pm
  • 9am-5pm
These are rotated amongst the team along with the on-call function, 1 week in 3 (this is subject to change and does require flexibility for holiday / sickness etc) evenings and weekends. If required to do any work whilst on-call an enhanced overtime rate ispayable (upwards of £30ph).
